What should I bring with my pet to their appointment?

When bringing your pet to their appointment, we recommend bringing the following:

  • Previous Medical Records: If available, please send any previous medical records or information about your pet’s medical history in advance of the appointment to info@patriotah.com. This helps us better understand your pet’s health background.
  • List of Medications and Supplements: It’s helpful to have a list of the names and dosages of any medications or supplements your pet is currently taking. This ensures that we have a comprehensive view of your pet’s medication regimen.

These documents and information help us provide the best possible care for your pet during their visit. If you have any questions or need assistance with gathering this information, please don’t hesitate to contact our clinic prior to your appointment.

What is your policy of handling aggressive or anxious pets?

At Patriot Animal Hospital, we prioritize the comfort and well-being of every pet during their appointments. While we employ stress-reduction techniques and a gentle approach, we understand that some pets may still experience anxiety or aggression. In such cases, our experienced team may recommend the use of anti-anxiety and calming medications prior to the appointment.
Our goal is to ensure that every pet feels safe and relaxed during their visit. If these medications do not adequately alleviate their anxiety or if the situation requires, we may also administer injectable sedation under the guidance of our veterinarians.
We believe in involving pet owners in their pet’s healthcare decisions and work collaboratively to create a stress-free environment for your furry family member. Please don’t hesitate to discuss any concerns or specific needs you have regarding your pet’s behavior with our team, and we will tailor our approach accordingly.
