
Freddy grew up in Germany, the son of a U.S. Army soldier, and moved to Texas when he was 16. After graduating High School, he attended Texas Tech University where he met Dr. Mathiak during their freshmen year. Following graduation, he joined the Army and in 2010 he was commissioned as an active-duty Army Officer. Freddy served 14 years as an Army Officer serving as a Tank Platoon Leader, Tank Company Commander, Combat Advisor Team Leader and Combat Advisor Troop Commander. After 14 years and 2 deployments Freddy decided to support his wife in her dream of owning her own veterinary practice and in 2024, he resigned his commission in the Army and took on the role of Patriot Animal Hospital manager. Growing up, Freddy’s parents always had multiple dogs in their home and his passion for helping animals really flourished when he was in deployed to Afghanistan where his wife would send him dog and cat food to feed stray dogs and cats around his base. Freddy enjoys running is an avid reader of U.S. History and an enthusiastic golfer. When not at the clinic, he loves spending time with his wife and their two young boys. Freddy and his wife are faithful Christians and active members at Upwards Church in Leander.
